Deepest Sword is a short adventure game where the player takes on a role of a knight who must slay a dragon. The dragon can be killed by driving a sword deep into its back and piercing its heart, but there's one problem: The knight's sword is too short. On each failure to kill the dragon the knight is resurrected at the beginning of the board with a longer sword. There is no jump button, so to climb onto platforms and get past other obstacles the player must rotate the sword to lever the knight up or down. The game ends once the knight possesses a long enough sword to fully penetrate the dragon.
The game was created in 72 hours for Ludum Dare 48 Jam, with the theme "deeper and deeper."
